HAPPENING NOW ‼️ State House of Assembly Member Kidnapped!

Tension has gripped Plateau State following the abduction of a sitting member of the Plateau State House of Assembly representing Pankshin South Constituency. The lawmaker, whose identity had not been officially disclosed at the time of filing this report, was reportedly kidnapped late Monday night from his residence in the Dong area of Jos North Local Government Area.

According to sources close to the family, the armed men stormed the lawmaker’s home under the cover of darkness, overpowering security before whisking him away to an undisclosed location. It remains unclear whether contact has been made with the kidnappers or if any ransom demand has been issued.

Security operatives have since been deployed to the area as a manhunt intensifies. The Plateau State Police Command has yet to issue an official statement on the incident.

This shocking development adds to the growing wave of insecurity plaguing Plateau State, which has been battling recurring communal clashes, attacks on rural communities, and rising cases of kidnapping. Residents of Dong have expressed deep concern over the worsening situation and are urging the government and security agencies to take swift action to protect lives and property.

Political analysts warn that the abduction of a sitting lawmaker marks a dangerous escalation of insecurity in the state, raising fears about the ability of authorities to guarantee the safety of both public officials and ordinary citizens.
