Fear and outrage have gripped residents of Imo State after a viral video surfaced online showing a notorious gang leader, identified by his nickname Gentle, executing three young men in cold blood.
In the disturbing footage, Gentle confronted the victims along a bush path, accusing them of stealing his gun and using it to carry out a robbery operation. The three men, seen with their hands cuffed, pleaded for mercy as the gunman and the person behind the camera ignored their cries.
“This will be a lesson to everybody. You think I’m playing,” the voice behind the camera said in a mixture of Igbo and pidgin English before Gentle opened fire.
Despite desperate pleas from one of the victims, who insisted on his innocence, the gang leader continued to shoot at them repeatedly, vowing that anyone who misuses his weapon would face a similar fate.
“From today, anybody who dares to take my gun for a robbery operation, be it in someone’s house or elsewhere, must receive it hot, very hot,” Gentle declared as he fired multiple shots.
He eventually delivered fatal shots to each of the victims’ heads, ending their lives instantly. The killer concluded by cursing them, warning that their deaths should serve as a deterrent to others.
The graphic execution, which has circulated widely on social media, has triggered shock and condemnation across the country, with many calling on security agencies to urgently track down the gang leader and bring him to justice.
