Phyno Debunks Rumors of Selling Off Multi-Billion Naira Estate

Nigerian rapper Phyno, born Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike, has publicly dismissed viral reports claiming he sold his N1.4 billion estate to an Arab buyer from Libya.

The rumor, which originated from a social media blogger, alleged that Phyno regretted investing in Lagos—described as "Yoruba land"—due to ethnic sentiments, and thus sold the property.

The controversial tweet read:
"Musician Phyno has allegedly sold off his 10 billion naira estate in Lagos to an Arab man. According to Phyno, it was a mistake building in Yoruba land where he feels his people are not welcomed.”

Reacting sharply on X (formerly Twitter), Phyno blasted the blogger, writing:
“You are a fool for cooking up this type of… Where are you heading with this? Anwu uta.”

The artist, known for his Igbo cultural pride and calm demeanor, made it clear that no such sale took place, urging fans and the public not to fall for divisive narratives.

Phyno’s estate, comprising 20 housing units, was widely publicized in 2023 and confirmed by politician Ned Nwoko.
