Over 100 Migrants Arrested in US Nightclub Raid

Authorities in the United States announced on Sunday that over 100 undocumented migrants were detained during a raid at an underground nightclub in Colorado, marking a significant step in President Donald Trump’s aggressive immigration policies.

Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi confirmed via X (formerly Twitter) that the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) led the operation, arresting "over 100 illegal aliens" at a nightclub in Colorado Springs. The venue has been linked to notorious gangs, such as Tren de Aragua and MS-13, which Trump recently classified as terrorist organizations.

The crackdown is part of the Trump administration’s broader push to escalate immigration enforcement, which has included deploying military forces to the US-Mexico border and pursuing large-scale deportations. These actions, however, have faced significant backlash from human rights groups, judges, and Democratic lawmakers who argue that constitutional rights have been frequently overlooked in the process.

Footage shared by the DEA depicted armed agents smashing windows and ordering patrons to raise their hands as they fled the nightclub into a nearby strip mall parking lot. Along with the arrests, law enforcement also recovered drugs and weapons from the scene.

DEA Special Agent Jonathan Pullen revealed that US military personnel were present at the nightclub, either among the patrons or serving as armed security guards during the raid.

Trump took to his Truth Social platform to praise the operation, emphasizing that it targeted some of the “worst individuals illegally in our country,” including drug dealers, murderers, and violent criminals. The former president also expressed frustration with judges who have blocked some deportations, warning that their actions would lead to a “crime-ridden mess” across the nation.

In a related story, rights groups recently highlighted the controversial deportation of three American children, alongside their undocumented mothers, including one child suffering from rare cancer. Another high-profile case involved Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Maryland resident with protected legal status, who was deported to El Salvador due to what the administration later acknowledged as an “administrative error.” Despite the Supreme Court’s order for his return, Trump has continued to assert that Abrego Garcia has gang affiliations.
