Tragedy struck in Enugu State as unidentified gunmen launched a deadly assault on a security checkpoint in the Achi community, located within Oji River Local Government Area, killing three officers of the Nigeria Police Force.
The incident, which occurred near the Ozudaa Market in Achi, has sent shockwaves through the region, igniting fresh concerns over the safety of law enforcement agents amid rising insecurity in Nigeria’s South-East.
According to reports, the attackers opened fire on the officers stationed at the checkpoint.
