Shehu Babba Alhassan, the Councillor representing Kofar Mazugala Ward in Dala Local Government Area of Kano State, has passed away.
According to reports from Naija News, Alhassan died on Wednesday at the age of 55 after a long battle with cancer.
A family member informed Daily Post that the late Councillor, who was a member of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), died at the Mallam Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital due to cancer.
The source further mentioned that arrangements for his burial had been completed, and he would be laid to rest on Thursday morning, in line with Islamic customs.
