President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Chief Sir Basil Ejidike, the Anambra State APC Chairman, as the Chairman, Governing Board of the National Root Crops Research Institute, Umudike.
In a Letter of Appointment dated 28th March 2025, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation stated that the appointment of Chief Basil Ejidike is a call to national service. The appointment takes effect from 26th March 2025.
Chief Basil Ejidike, while commending President Tinubu for the honour bestowed upon him and the Anambra APC, described the appointment as a beautiful addition to the list of presidential appointments to Anambra State and the APC. He said it underscores the President’s appreciation of members and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the people of the state.
The APC Anambra State Chairman further reassured President Tinubu of the continuous support of the people of the state and the state chapter of the party for the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President.
