BREAKING: Enugu to Host 14th Emeka Anyaoku Distinguished Lecture Series at International Conference Centre



Enugu State is set to host the 14th edition of the prestigious Emeka Anyaoku Distinguished Lecture Series on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at the International Conference Centre (ICC), Enugu.

According to a statement signed by Johnson Ogbonna on behalf of the President of the Youth Affairs Foundation, the theme of this year’s lecture is "Imperative of Good Governance in Nigeria." The event will be hosted by the Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Mbah.

The keynote address will be delivered by Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, the immediate past Chief of Staff to former President Muhammadu Buhari. A host of notable dignitaries from across the country are also expected to grace the event.

Over the years, the Emeka Anyaoku Lecture Series has been hosted by Governors of Lagos, Anambra, Delta, Ogun, Edo, Abia, Ebonyi, Imo, Oyo, Rivers, and Akwa Ibom States. It has consistently drawn the participation of prominent national figures including Gen. Yakubu Gowon, Chief John Odigie Oyegun, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, Chief Chukwuemeka Ezeife, Chief Donald Duke, Prof. Barth Nnaji, Prof. Anya O. Anya, Prof. Kingsley Moghalu, Prof. Eghosa Osaghae, Prof. Dora Akunyili, Prof. Pat Utomi, Prof. Ayo Olukotun, Prof. Hope Eghagha, Dr. Reuben Abati, Sen. Ben Murray-Bruce, Sen. Ben Obi, among others.

The organizers have extended an open invitation to the general public and students of higher institutions to attend the landmark event.
