Peter Obi Expresses Solidarity with Victims of Niger Tanker Explosion



Former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has extended his condolences to the victims of the tragic petrol tanker explosion that occurred at Dikko Junction in Suleja, Niger State. The explosion, which claimed over 100 lives and left many others injured, happened as people attempted to scoop fuel from a fallen tanker.

Obi, who visited the site and the hospital to meet with the injured, called for immediate action to prevent such tragedies in the future. He stressed the importance of improving road networks, educating tanker operators on safety measures, and addressing poverty, which he believes contributes to such devastating incidents.

At the explosion site, where many victims were buried, Obi expressed deep sorrow and emphasized the need for proactive governance to safeguard human lives. He also visited local leaders to offer his condolences and urged the government to implement policies that prevent future tragedies of this nature.
