The government has revealed plans to deport 130 Nigerian citizens after they were found guilty of various criminal offences, including fraud, illegal possession of weapons, drug-related crimes, and assault.
The development was disclosed in a statement and document published on the official website of the , sighted on Friday.
According to the agency, the deportation forms part of an ongoing immigration enforcement effort targeting undocumented migrants involved in criminal activities.
The government noted that the move aligns with the policy direction of President , which prioritises the removal of individuals convicted of serious offences.
Authorities stated that personnel of the Department of Homeland Security, alongside the (ICE), are implementing the directive by identifying, arresting, and processing affected individuals for deportation.
The document, titled “Worst of the Worst,” contains the names of Nigerians listed for deportation, including Boluwaji Akingunsoye, Ejike Asiegbunam, Emmanuel Mayegun Adeola, Bamidele Bolatiwa, Ifeanyi Nwaozomudoh, Aderemi Akefe, Solomon Wilfred, Chibundu Anuebunwa, Joshua Ineh, Usman Momoh, Oluwole Odunowo, Bolarinwa Salau, and Oriyomi Aloba.
Others listed include Oludayo Adeagbo, Olaniyi Akintuyi, Talatu Dada, Olatunde Oladinni, Jelili Qudus, Abayomi Daramola, Toluwani Adebakin, Olamide Jolayemi, Isaiah Okere, Benji Macaulay, Joseph Ogbara, Olusegun Martins, Kingsley Ariegwe, Olugbenga Abass, Oyewole Balogun, Adeyinka Ademokunla, Christian Ogunghide, Christopher Ojuma, Olamide Adedipe, Patrick Onogwu, Olajide Olateru-Olagbegi, and Omotayo Akinto.
