Enugu Water Project; More Water for Igbo-Etiti people

 


As Igbo-Etiti Chairman describes Dr Peter Mbah as the Millennium Governor of Nigeria,Hails CSDA GM’s Appointment, Strengthens Council–CSDA Collaboration to Deliver Governor’s Mandate

The Chairman of Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area, Hon Dr Eric Ogbonna Odoh has commended the appointment of the General Manager of the Enugu State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA), Mr Monday Diamond Ani, describing it as one of the best appointments made by the His Excellency Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah in recent time. 

The Chairman made the commendation during a courtesy visit by the CSDA General Manager to the council headquarters as part of a monitoring tour of communities in Igbo-Etiti LGA on water and sanitation intervention projects, which is aimed at ending open defecation.

Speaking during the meeting, the Council chairman described Gov Peter Mbah as the millennium Governor of Nigeria due to His leadership style and unprecedented achievements in just three years in Office.

While commenting on the CSDA-GM's appointment,he stressed that capacity and competence must remain the primary criteria in government appointments, and that the Governor exhibited in appointing Monday Diamond. 

According to him, sustainable development can only be achieved when capable individuals are entrusted with leadership responsibilities.

He noted that appointing people with integrity and proven ability to deliver results is critical to accelerating development across the state, adding that a few competent hands in key sectors can remove systemic bottlenecks and drive measurable progress.

Describing Diamond's appointment as well-deserved and most strategic in recent time.

The Chairman expressed confidence in his leadership and the positive impact of CSDA interventions in rural communities. He further assured that the Igbo-Etiti Council is fully committed to collaborating closely with CSDA to ensure the sustainability of water and toilet projects executed within the area.

The Chairman also acknowledged the Governor’s outstanding leadership anchored on strong dedication to urban and grassroots development and called for continued support for policies and programmes aimed at improving rural livelihoods.

In his response, the CSDA General Manager, Mr. Monday Diamond Ani, appreciated the Chairman for the warm reception and commendation, describing him as one of the most proactive Local Government Chairmen in Enugu state.

He further commended Hon Odoh for providing some boreholes to some Communities in Igbo-etiti as a way of supporting the ones done by Governor Mbah through the CSDA. 

The visit underscored the shared resolve of both the Council and CSDA to strengthen collaboration and deliver impactful, people-oriented development across Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area.

Communities visited; Achara Ohodo, Ozalla uwani, Diogbe and other communities, worthy to note that the boreholes are functional and serving the people.
