BREAKING!! Popular Nigerian Women’s League Footballer Kidnapped



The family of Nigerian footballer Ihotu John Rebecca has appealed for public support following her abduction along the Benin Expressway. Rebecca, who plays for Pacesetter Queens FC in the Nigeria Women Football League Premiership, was reportedly kidnapped while travelling home along the Benin motorway.

According to reports, her abductors have demanded a ransom of ₦20 million for her release. The incident has sparked concern within the sporting community, given her status as a top-flight women’s footballer in Nigeria.

Her family has called on football stakeholders, club officials, sponsors, government authorities, and well-meaning Nigerians to assist in securing her safe return. Security agencies are yet to issue an official statement as concerns continue to mount over safety along major highways.
