An Enugu-based man has raised an alarm over the disappearance of his driver, who allegedly absconded with his Mercedes-Benz GL 450 SUV in the state.
The incident reportedly occurred on Thursday when the vehicle owner, who returned to Enugu for the 2025 Christmas and New Year festivities, entrusted the car to his driver for a family outing.
Narrating the incident to journalists, the vehicle owner, who requested anonymity, identified the driver as Mr. Ifeanyi Darlington Anike, popularly known as KC, a native of Amagunze in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State.
According to him, the driver conveyed his wife and children to a popular shopping mall in Enugu but allegedly disappeared with the vehicle while the family members were still inside the mall.
The missing vehicle is a Mercedes-Benz GL 450 SUV with registration number ENU 218 MM.
The distressed owner has appealed to members of the public to assist with any useful information that could lead to the recovery of the vehicle, urging informants to report to the nearest police station or security post.
He also announced that a handsome reward would be given to anyone whose information leads to the recovery of the car. Members of the public may also contact 09168381334.
The matter has since been formally reported to the Ogui Police Station, Enugu, for investigation.
