BREAKING! SAD NEWS!! Three Top APC Chieftains Die Mysteriously



Three prominent chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State have passed away.

The deceased are Hon. Onojah James Ignatius, Hon. Jatto Onimisi Suleiman, and Alhaji Alih Atabo.

The Kogi State Government confirmed their deaths in a statement issued on Monday, January 12, 2026, by the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, in Lokoja.

According to the statement, Hon. Onojah James Ignatius was the Special Adviser to the Governor and a former Chairman of Igalamela Local Government Area. Hon. Jatto Onimisi Suleiman served as a Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, while Alhaji Alih Atabo was the APC Chairman of Anyigba Ward in Dekina Local Government Area.

Fanwo described the deceased as dedicated party men who served the state and the APC with commitment, loyalty, and integrity. He noted that Onojah was a seasoned grassroots mobiliser and administrator passionate about community development, while Jatto discharged his duties with humility and diligence. Alhaji Atabo, he added, was a committed party stalwart whose contributions at the ward level strengthened the party.

The commissioner conveyed the condolences of Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Kogi State Government, and the people of the state to the families of the deceased, the APC family, and the affected communities of Igalamela, Okene, and Dekina.

He stated that the legacies of service, sacrifice, and dedication left behind by the three party leaders would continue to inspire the state and the ruling party.
