A farmer has reportedly been kidnapped by suspected gunmen while working on his farm in Adani, Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State.
According to unconfirmed reports, the victim, identified as Obinna Akogu, was abducted on Monday, December 29, 2025, while carrying out farming activities at a location known locally as Ratne Charles Farmland in Adani.
Details surrounding the incident remain sketchy as of the time of filing this report. However, community sources alleged that the assailants stormed the farmland and whisked the farmer away to an unknown destination, sparking fear and tension among residents of the agrarian community.
The incident has reignited concerns over the recurring cases of kidnapping and insecurity in Adani and surrounding communities, particularly attacks targeting farmers on their farmlands.
