TOURISM: Enugu Unveils Exciting Mini Zoo Adventure Park

Omu Resort is set to unveil a range of exciting new features at its Enugu mini park, further enhancing its reputation as a hub for family-friendly tourism and leisure in the Southeast.

Located at the popular Naira Triangle in Enugu, the park will soon boast a mini zoo, adding to its already rich lineup of attractions including a water park, amusement rides, roller skating arena, basketball court, adventure games, bouncing castles, picnic spots, and more.

Speaking to reporters, Mr. Osita Umougo, Manager of Omu Resort, confirmed that the mini zoo will feature a variety of exotic and native animals in its first phase, including ostriches, hyenas, tortoises, Chinese ducks, baboons, monkeys, and crowned cranes. Other additions in the pipeline include go-karting and horse riding facilities, designed to appeal to both children and adults.

“This expansion is in line with Governor Peter Mbah’s vision of making Enugu a top destination for tourism in Nigeria,” Umougo noted. “We’re aligning our efforts with the state government’s transformative plans for tourism.”

Enugu State has been making major strides in tourism development through infrastructure upgrades and partnerships. Notable milestones include the completion of the International Conference Centre, renovation of the iconic Presidential Hotel, and the proposed launch of Enugu Air, a state-backed airline set to boost accessibility and tourism inflow.

Additionally, the state is investing in innovative attractions like Africa’s longest canopy walkway at Nsude and a zipline adventure at Ngwo Pine Forest. These initiatives are designed to position Enugu as both a tourism powerhouse and a vibrant regional hub for business and recreation.

The upcoming launch by Omu Resort adds momentum to this broader strategy and is expected to attract both local and international visitors seeking unique leisure experiences in Eastern Nigeria.
