JUST IN: Atiku Speaks On ADC Presidential Candidate in 2027

Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, has revealed that he will support any candidate who emerges as the presidential flagbearer of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2027 general election.

Atiku made this known in Lagos during a ceremony organized to welcome new members into the ADC. Represented by Prof. Ola Olateju, the former Vice President emphasized that the party’s presidential candidate would only emerge through a transparent and credible primary election process. He assured that no aspirant would be sidelined or imposed, stressing that all contestants would be given equal opportunity to test their popularity among party delegates.

The event was attended by notable party figures including the National Secretary of the ADC, Rauf Aregbesola, Senator Kolawole Ogunwale, and the Lagos State Chairman, George Ashiru. According to Atiku, the strength of the ADC lies in its ability to uphold internal democracy and fairness, which would give Nigerians a credible alternative in 2027.

He further maintained that once a candidate emerges from the primary, all stakeholders, including himself, would give full backing and mobilization to ensure the party’s victory in the general election.
