EXPOSED!! "We’re Not Your Wives, Stop Using Us As Bedmates" – Rev’d Sister Tells Priests, Exposes S£xual H∆rassment in Catholic Church

Rev’d Sister Accuses Catholic Priests of Sexual Harassment, Demands End to Abuse

Rev’d Sister Kinse Anastasia of Veritas University, Abuja, has sparked outrage following her public outcry on social media, accusing some Catholic priests of subjecting Reverend Sisters to sexual harassment and maltreatment within the Church.

In her revelations, Sister Anastasia lamented that many Sisters are demeaned and treated as mere “ornaments in Habits,” with some priests boldly claiming that “Sisters are meant to be priests’ wives.” According to her, such utterances often translate into actions that reduce women in consecrated life to sexual objects rather than respected servants of God.

She further alleged that Church leaders often silence Sisters who attempt to speak out, leaving them vulnerable to abuse, while some superiors misuse their authority to perpetuate the culture of silence. The Reverend Sister warned that this systemic suppression not only endangers women religious but also tarnishes the sacred image of the Church.

While holding priests accountable, Sister Anastasia also called out fellow Sisters who compromise their vows, stressing that such actions diminish the dignity of consecrated life and make them more susceptible to exploitation.

In a strong rebuke, she declared: “Religious Sisters are not priests’ wives. We are not bedmates. We are women of God. The Church must do better because God is watching.”

Her statement has ignited widespread reactions, with many demanding urgent reforms and greater protection for women religious within the Catholic Church.
