BREAKING!! Governor Appoints Nnam, Uche Mark, Adaeze Iroegbu, Enwerenmadu, Others


Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has announced a fresh round of appointments into key offices and institutions across the state as part of his administration’s continued efforts to strengthen governance, service delivery, and institutional efficiency.

The announcement, which was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Kenneth Kalu, revealed the names of the appointees and confirmed that the appointments take immediate effect.

Among those appointed are Onyebuchi Nnam, who will now serve as a member of the Abia State Transport Corporation Board, Uche Mark Nwosu, appointed as Chief Protocol Officer, and Adaeze Ivy Iroegbu, who was named Chief Moderator in the Protocol Department. In the agriculture sector, Prince Christian Enwerenmadu was appointed Special Adviser to the Governor on Agriculture.

Other appointees include Dr. Joe Emeson as Chairman, Governing Council of the Abia State College of Education (Technical), Arochukwu; Dr. Mrs. Idowu O. Eluwa as Provost of the institution; and Iheanyi Frank Chinasa as Chief Liaison Officer/National Assembly Liaison Officer at the Abia State Liaison Office, Abuja.

In addition, Mr. Emmanuel M. Ufomba was named Chairman of the Abia State Transport Corporation, with other members of the board including Godanswer P. Kalu, Mrs. Salomey Onwu, and Kingsley Oriaku. The list also featured Chima Raymond Ukwa, who was appointed Special Assistant on Sports, and Mrs. Chinenye Nwaka, appointed Senior Special Assistant on Women Affairs.

Governor Otti, in making the new appointments, reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to inject fresh energy into the governance structure of the state while entrusting sensitive offices into the hands of competent and result-driven individuals. He expressed optimism that the new appointees would justify the confidence reposed in them by working assiduously to advance his government’s vision of a new Abia anchored on accountability, transparency, and development.
