Nigerian social media has been thrown into fresh debates following the resurfacing of a voice recording of the late singer, Mohbad, where he accused Naira Marley of watching while he was bullied.
This comes shortly after Naira Marley promised to tell his side of the story through a video released on his label’s official YouTube page. Since then, Nigerians have been reacting with mixed opinions.
In the leaked recording, Mohbad recounted how he was attacked by nearly ten men at Naira Marley’s house while the singer stood by and did nothing. According to him, he pleaded for help but Naira Marley ignored his cries.
“The second time I went to Naira Marley’s house to resolve the issue, I was attacked by 10 men and he stood there watching. Would I have to continue going to the hospital all the time? If there was no video evidence, no one would have believed me,” Mohbad lamented.
He further expressed fears for his life, stating: “I don’t want to go back to him ’cause I’m scared for my life. God forbid I get attacked and something happens, who’d take care of my family? Everything posted on my Twitter account was done by me and no one else. I’m even tired of this fame; I just want peace.”
The revelation has intensified public scrutiny, with many Nigerians now questioning the truth behind Naira Marley’s recent confession and the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s tragic death.
