The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State has allegedly suspended its Publicity Secretary, Hon. Solomon Chukwudi Onah, over allegations of anti-party activities.
According to an insider, the decision was reached during a crucial meeting held on Tuesday evening at the residence of Hon. Chris Ezema in Opi, Nsukka. Party stakeholders reportedly deliberated extensively on Onah’s conduct and subsequently passed a resolution suspending him from his position.
Hon. Onah, who has been serving as the Publicity Secretary of PDP in Nsukka LGA, is accused of engaging in actions considered detrimental to the unity and progress of the party at the local level.
Sources within the party disclosed that the suspension was a unanimous decision aimed at safeguarding the integrity of the PDP and sending a clear message that indiscipline will not be tolerated.
The development has generated mixed reactions among party faithful and the wider political circle in Nsukka, with some hailing the decision as necessary for party discipline, while others described it as a move that could deepen internal cracks if not carefully managed.
As of press time, Hon. Onah has not issued an official statement regarding his suspension.
