The Department of State Services (DSS) has announced the arrest of one Mr. Eze Ezenwa Benard for allegedly circulating fake DSS recruitment past questions and answers on social media.
In a statement released on Saturday, the agency revealed that the suspect was apprehended after being tracked for operating a fraudulent Facebook page under the name “Jobs and Education.” Through this platform, Benard reportedly advertised the counterfeit materials to unsuspecting job seekers and charged ₦1,000 for access.
The DSS, while confirming the arrest, warned members of the public to be vigilant against fraudulent activities targeted at desperate job applicants. The agency stressed that official recruitment exercises are always communicated through authorized government channels and do not require the purchase of any so-called past questions.
It added that efforts are ongoing to clamp down on other individuals and groups engaged in similar scams, as part of its mandate to protect Nigerians from deceitful schemes.
