BREAKING!! 2 Ministers, 8 Others Die In Helicopter Crash

Ghana is in mourning following a tragic helicopter crash in the southern Ashanti region that claimed the lives of eight individuals, including two senior government ministers.

The Chief of Staff to the Ghanaian President confirmed that Defense Minister Edward Omane Boamah and Environment Minister Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed were among those killed in the accident.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Ghana Armed Forces had reported the loss of contact with a Z9 military helicopter en route from Accra to the mining town of Obuasi. The aircraft was carrying five passengers and three crew members when it crashed.

In a video statement, Chief of Staff Julius Debrah expressed the government's grief and announced that national flags would be flown at half-mast until further notice in honor of the deceased.

“This is a tragic day for Ghana. Our hearts go out to the families of those who have lost their lives in this devastating accident,” Debrah said.

Authorities have pledged to provide more updates as investigations into the cause of the crash continue.

This is a developing story.
