Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji, Minister of Innovation, Science & Technology, is spearheading what many are calling a silent revolution in Nigeria’s technological and scientific development.
Appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Chief Nnaji has led multiple transformative projects, including:
- The launch of Nigeria’s first AI-driven Smart Hospital Network
- The Renewed Hope Solar Project, targeting all 774 local government areas
- The preparation and launch of NigeriaSat‑3, 4 & 5
- The establishment of Africa’s first insulin production plant
- Project NOVA, a training initiative for over 25,000 young Nigerians annually
- The attraction of €7.9 billion in clean energy investments under Project Green
Under his leadership, appointments like Mustapha Abdullahi as DG of the Energy Commission and Dr. Matthew Adepoju as DG of NASRDA (Nigeria’s space agency) have further strengthened the ministry’s momentum. Numerous Centers of Excellence are also being established nationwide.
The article highlights Chief Nnaji’s strategic focus on science, innovation, and economic empowerment—particularly from his home state of Enugu—and lauds him as a visionary shaping Nigeria’s future.
“Ndi Enugu, be proud,” the article concludes. “One of our own is helping shape the future of Nigeria.”
