Enugu man, Nwadu Chibuike, has shocked social media users after publicly cancelling his upcoming wedding over the discovery of an alleged affair between his fiancée and a reverend father.
The wedding, which was slated for August 2, 2025, was called off after Chibuike uncovered that his bride-to-be was still romantically involved with the clergyman, even after they had completed their traditional marriage rites.
Taking to Facebook to make the announcement, Chibuike wrote:
“I found out she was still in a sexual relationship with her Reverend Father. I have her confession recorded on tape.”
His revelation immediately went viral, drawing a flood of reactions and heated commentary from the online community.
One user, Ebenyin Joel, said: “Nawao! This is very painful. Chai! But that girl is very wicked o. You should sue her for emotional and financial damage. Also, post her picture and that of the Rev. Fr. Let’s drag them small on social media. They are wicked.”
Another, Zinny Ezinne, fumed: “Some of my genders are just too stewpid and idiotic. Chidinma Okoli I pour you early morning spit. You’re a disgrace and failure. Sisterhood is ashamed of you. Tueh.”
Others offered words of comfort. Rose commented:
“Please, you really need time to heal. Thank God you found out on time. I think you should not post it again on social media—for your mental health. They must surely pay for their wicked deed. God will help you with your own wife.”
Sources close to the situation say the clergyman in question is well known in the Enugu community, though no official statement has been released from either the church or the accused parties as of the time of filing this report.
The heartbreaking incident has stirred conversations around betrayal, morality, and the abuse of religious trust, leaving many stunned by the alleged actions of both the bride-to-be and the reverend father.
