A video has surfaced online showing a distraught pregnant woman crying out after she was allegedly assaulted by her mother-in-law in the presence of her husband and children.
In the viral video, the woman, visibly upset, claimed that her husband stood by and watched as his mother physically assaulted her, despite the fact that she was pregnant with their child. She expressed frustration, stating that her mother-in-law asked her to leave the house while she was pregnant, and the assault occurred in front of their young children.
"Is it a crime to be married?" the woman can be heard saying in the video. "You brought your mother to come and hit me... me that I am pregnant! Asking a pregnant woman to leave the house in the presence of my children. The mother is beating me, and he is watching it."
The woman also expressed her anger towards her husband for not intervening, shouting, “Carry your mother and go!” while the mother-in-law was heard responding aggressively, saying, “Get out of my son’s house."
As the altercation continued, the pregnant woman insisted that she would not leave, despite being urged by her mother-in-law. In the background, a young child could be heard telling their mother, "It’s enough," as the situation unfolded.
The incident has sparked a heated debate on domestic violence and the responsibilities of spouses in addressing such situations.
