The Federal Government has announced the appointment of Dr. Dele Anisere as the new Registrar of the Dental Therapists’ Registration Board of Nigeria under the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.
According to a statement released on Thursday by Alaba Balogun, Deputy Director of Press and Public Relations at the ministry, Dr. Anisere’s appointment commenced on May 5, 2025, and will span a four-year tenure.
During the official presentation of the appointment letter in Abuja, the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Iziaq Salako, commended the rigorous selection process that led to Anisere's emergence and expressed confidence in his capacity to steer the board toward excellence.
Dr. Salako emphasized the importance of eliminating unlicensed practitioners and shutting down unauthorized health programs across institutions. He stressed that properly regulating dental therapy is crucial to curbing quackery and maintaining high professional standards in the health sector.
He urged Dr. Anisere to leverage his experience and professional network to strengthen the board’s operations and advance the profession nationwide.
