The Christian community in Nigeria is mourning the tragic death of Rev. Azzaman David, a well-known Kaduna-based pastor and advocate of interfaith dialogue, who died in a car accident on Saturday, May 24, 2025. He was returning from an evangelical outreach in Makurdi, Benue State, when the crash occurred.
A close family associate, Rev. Mohammed Mohammed, confirmed the incident in a heartfelt Facebook post, revealing that Rev. Azzaman was alone in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
Until his death, Rev. Azzaman was the lead pastor of The King Worship Chapel and Ministry, Inc. He was widely recognized for his active online presence where he fearlessly engaged in theological debates and interfaith discussions, drawing a large following, especially among young Christians.
Tributes have poured in across social media platforms, describing him as a "fearless teacher," "intellectual voice," and “a soldier of Christ” who simplified complex theological ideas and boldly confronted opposing views with conviction and grace.
He is survived by his wife and children. Funeral arrangements are yet to be officially announced.
His death has reignited public discourse about the state of Nigerian roads and the alarming rate of fatal accidents involving prominent citizens.
