BREAKING! Gospel Singer Who Allegedly Murdered Girlfriend, Bust Into Tongues, Prayers, Singing During Court Trial

Gospel artist Timilehin Ajayi, who is currently standing trial for the brutal murder of his girlfriend, Salome Adaidu, was on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, spotted praying in court during the latest hearing of his ongoing case, a gesture that has stirred mixed reactions across the country.

Ajayi, who was arrested on January 12, 2025, has remained in custody following allegations that he murdered and attempted to dispose of the dismembered body of Salome, a corps member attached to Nicon Insurance in Abuja. The tragic incident reportedly took place during her visit to his residence in the Papalana area of New Karshi, Karu Local Government Area, Nasarawa State.

According to police reports, Ajayi was apprehended while trying to dispose of the remains, a move that shocked the community and drew widespread condemnation. During interrogation, the suspect reportedly showed no remorse, instead justifying his action by accusing the victim of infidelity.

Eyewitnesses in the courtroom observed Ajayi praying silently while awaiting proceedings, a move that has divided public opinion. While some interpret it as an act of repentance, others have described it as deeply ironic and unsettling, given the grievous nature of the allegations against him.

The case, which has been widely followed on social and traditional media, continues to provoke emotional responses, particularly from women's rights advocates and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) community, who have called for swift and transparent justice for the slain corps member.

Meanwhile, the presiding judge has adjourned the matter to a later date, while the prosecution continues to gather evidence. Legal experts expect that the court will take into account both forensic findings and testimonies from law enforcement officers involved in the investigation.

Ajayi, previously known in gospel music circles for his inspirational songs, now faces the possibility of a life sentence or capital punishment if convicted.
