An old Facebook post by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, stating that defecting senators should lose their seats, has resurfaced amid recent defections to the APC.
Critics accuse Akpabio, who made the post in 2016 as a PDP member, of hypocrisy, as he now leads a Senate that has seen multiple PDP senators switch to the ruling party without consequence.
PDP lawmakers recently staged a walkout, demanding constitutional consistency.
