Samsom Ndah Ali, the pastor of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) in Mararaba Aboro, Sanga Local Government Area, Kaduna State, who was abducted by bandits, has been released. The incident, which took place in the early hours of April 8, 2025, saw Pastor Ali taken from his home, just two weeks after his posting to the church.
The kidnappers initially demanded a ransom of N100 million for his release. However, after negotiations, an elderly church official, identified as Danjuma, delivered an undisclosed sum to secure Pastor Ali’s freedom. Unfortunately, despite the pastor’s release, the kidnappers decided to detain Danjuma, who had delivered the ransom.
A source revealed that while the pastor was freed, the reason behind the detention of the church’s financial secretary remains unclear, and the community is left in shock. Pastor Ali later confirmed his release and the abduction of the church secretary through a Facebook post, praying for the secretary’s safety and deliverance.
This incident has drawn significant attention, highlighting the continuing security challenges in Kaduna State.
