JUST IN: Tinubu Heads to London from France, Return Expected After Easter



President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has departed Paris for London over the weekend, according to a statement released by the Presidency. The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, disclosed this in a press release issued on Thursday, April 17, 2025.

Despite his temporary absence from the country, the President remains fully engaged in the governance of Nigeria. The statement emphasized that President Tinubu has maintained consistent communication with key government officials and has continued to give directives on crucial national matters, including security operations across the country.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains fully engaged in Nigeria’s governance even though he is away in Europe,” the statement reads. “His absence is temporary and in line with the earlier communicated timeframe of approximately two weeks.”

The Presidency assured Nigerians that the President is expected to return to Abuja and resume official duties at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa after the Easter holiday. It further reassured the public that government activities are running smoothly under the President’s leadership and that there is no vacuum in governance.

“The President’s commitment to his duties remains unwavering, and his administration continues to function effectively under his leadership,” the statement concluded.
