'Insurgents Will Oust Two Northern Governors' – Primate Ayodele Predicts

Renowned cleric and spiritual leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a chilling warning concerning the rising wave of insecurity in northern Nigeria, cautioning that insurgents may forcibly remove two state governors from office if urgent steps are not taken.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Primate Ayodele specifically mentioned the Governor of Borno State, Professor Babagana Zulum, and the Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, urging them to intensify efforts in tackling insecurity in their respective states.

“Some governors need to be very careful so they won’t be sacked from office by these insurgents,” Ayodele stated. “The governors of Borno, Professor Babagana Zulum, and Benue, Hyacinth Alia, must take this insecurity thing seriously so that their offices will not be taken over by these daredevils.”

The cleric warned that the growing activities of bandits and insurgents pose a direct threat to the stability of the nation and the leadership of affected states.

He also called on National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to act swiftly and decisively to curb the growing threats across the region.

“I am warning Nuhu Ribadu and President Tinubu to quickly deal with the insecurity issues, especially in the north. There are people behind it to frustrate the president, and they want to fight without mercy. Let’s be careful so that insurgents will not sack any governor,” he cautioned.

The warning comes amid increasing reports of violence in parts of the North-East and North-Central regions, with citizens and local leaders calling for more robust security interventions.
