The dualization of the 43.7 km Penoks-Abakpa-Ugwogo Nike-Opi Nsukka Road by the Peter Mbah administration will cut travel time between Enugu and Nsukka from over one hour to less than 30 minutes. The project will straighten dangerous bends, curb accidents, deter crime, and stimulate economic activities in Enugu North Zone, repositioning Nsukka as a key economic hub. It also includes police patrols, street lighting, and enhanced security along the corridor.
