Boko Haram Now Controls Three Borno Communities After Sacking Government Authorities — Senator Ndume

Senator Ali Ndume, representing Borno South Senatorial District, has confirmed that Boko Haram terrorists have taken over three communities in Borno State, completely displacing civil authorities. Speaking during a Channels Television interview, Ndume identified the affected areas as Gudumbali (Guzamala LGA), Marte, and Abadam.

“There is no civil authority there. The authority is Boko Haram,” he stated.

The Senator’s revelation aligns with recent warnings from Governor Babagana Zulum, who decried daily terrorist raids and kidnappings in Borno, saying the state is “losing ground.”

Ndume disclosed that since November 2024, the state has witnessed over 250 attacks, resulting in the deaths of more than 100 soldiers and nearly 300 civilians, despite security forces reportedly killing 800 terrorists.

He criticized the federal government’s approach and called on President Bola Tinubu to declare a state of emergency on both security and the economy, insisting that “business as usual” must stop.

“Things are getting worse… Our people are dying, and our territories are falling,” Ndume warned.
