BREAKING: Enugu Police Arrest, Arraign Woman for Giving False Testimony at Ebuka Obi’s Church

The Enugu State Police Command has confirmed the arrest and arraignment of 32-year-old Loveth Helen Alo for allegedly giving a false testimony at the Zion Prayer Ministry Movement Outreach in Lagos.

In a statement, Enugu Police Command spokesperson, SP Daniel Ndukwe, revealed that detectives from the Legal Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) apprehended Alo on February 1, 2025.

False Testimony and Allegations

Alo’s arrest followed a petition alleging that she falsely claimed ownership of a five-bedroom duplex located in WTC Estate, Enugu.

During her testimony at Zion Prayer Ministry, she reportedly presented the property as her own, claiming that God had blessed her with its acquisition. Footage of the building was shown in the church during her speech. In another viral video, she allegedly stated that she had purchased the house for two hundred million naira (₦200,000,000).

Police Investigation and Court Arraignment

According to SP Daniel Ndukwe, during interrogation, Alo admitted to fabricating the testimony and confessed that she acted alone.

She was arraigned on March 11, 2025, before the Enugu North Magisterial District Court, facing five charges, including:

  • Obtaining by false pretence with intent to defraud
  • Defamation of character
  • Attempting to commit a felony by seeking to sell the property

The court granted her bail, and the case has been adjourned to April 9, 2025, for further proceedings.
