Nigerians have started a new challenge called the "Ogechi Challenge," where participants mimic a sick person receiving an IV drip.

The challenge emerged in response to the arrest of a Yenagoa-based girl named Ogechi Okechukwu by the Bayelsa State Police for allegedly defrauding people through a fake surgery financial appeal.

Ogechi allegedly conspired with a doctor to deceive unsuspecting individuals on Facebook by falsely claiming she needed money for surgery.

The doctor reportedly assisted her by providing fake medical reports, drug prescriptions, and staging medical procedures to make her appear genuinely ill.

This included administering a fake intravenous drip, conducting a fake blood transfusion, and presenting fabricated scan results to convince donors of her condition.
