Breaking! El-Rufai's Son Responds to Allegations of $800 million, ₦700 billion in cash, and ₦1 trillion worth of drugs at His Home, Makes Clarification

Bello El-Rufai, a member of the House of Representatives and son of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, has addressed rumors regarding a raid by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at his residence in Kaduna. Reports circulating on social media alleged that $800 million, ₦700 billion in cash, and ₦1 trillion worth of drugs were discovered at his home.

In a statement, Bello denied these claims, stating that he does not own any separate property in Kaduna, but instead resides in the family house in Unguwar Sarki, where he has lived since birth. He labeled the allegations as false and an attempt to discredit him and create confusion.

Bello reaffirmed his dedication to serving the people of Kaduna North and expressed that those responsible for spreading these false rumors would face legal consequences. He further emphasized that any proceeds from legal action would benefit his constituency.

“My constituents know what will happen if I were to come into such wealth. For those behind these baseless attacks, I assure you that we will continue to serve the people and enjoy how it frustrates them. Honest, frank, and quality representation will remain a cornerstone in Kaduna North,” he said.

He also condemned the use of fake news as a tool to manipulate public perception and cause division, calling it defamatory and contrary to the values of justice and fairness.
