In a deeply disturbing incident, a two-year-old girl has tragically lost her life following a brutal assault in Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State. The child’s lifeless body was discovered near a mosque on Deneva Street, bearing distressing signs of abuse, according to a statement released by the Bauchi State Police Command on November 5, 2024.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, confirmed that detectives were immediately dispatched to the scene upon receiving the report. The victim was then taken to the General Hospital Ningi, where medical findings revealed that she had suffered severe injuries from the assault, ultimately leading to her untimely death.
Expressing shock and outrage over the incident, Bauchi State’s Commissioner of Police, CP Auwal Musa Mohammed, ordered an intensive investigation aimed at finding and apprehending those responsible for this heinous crime. He strongly condemned the act, urging parents and guardians to prioritize the safety of their young ones and remain vigilant.
