HAPPENING NOW! Native Doctor Hospitalised After Sustaining Severe Injuries While Testing BULLET PROOF CHARM

A local herbalist in Kuchibuyi Village, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), suffered severe injuries while testing the effectiveness of a self-made "bulletproof" charm. The incident, confirmed by the FCT Police Command spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, occurred when the herbalist, identified as Usman, shot himself in the stomach with a shotgun to prove the charm's efficacy.

Tragically, the charm failed, leaving Usman with life-threatening injuries. Police officers from the Byazhin Division promptly responded to the scene after being alerted by concerned individuals. Usman was found in critical condition and was immediately rushed to Kubwa General Hospital for emergency treatment. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later transferred to Gwagwalada Specialist Hospital for further medical care.

A subsequent search of Usman’s residence led to the recovery of the homemade firearm and various charms used in his dangerous experiment. According to SP Josephine Adeh, investigations are ongoing, and Usman is likely to face charges of unlawful possession of firearms and attempted suicide, as stipulated under Section 231 of the Penal Code Law of Northern Nigeria.

The Commissioner of Police for the FCT, CP Olatunji Disu, condemned the incident and emphasized the risks associated with illegal firearms and reckless behavior. He reiterated the importance of community members refraining from such perilous practices, underscoring the need for public awareness on the dangers they pose.
