Group Reveals New Deadly Kidnapping Informants, Criminal Elements In Igboland

The Apex Socio-cultural Youth organization of Ndigbo World Wide, Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC), led by Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka, has raised alarm over a surge in criminal activities linked to individuals operating under the guise of "AKPAKARA" Nomadic waste collectors. Recent intelligence from the OYC’s Special Intelligence Directorate (SID) has unveiled that these individuals are involved in severe criminal activities across Igboland, including kidnapping, rape, robbery, and organ harvesting.

According to reports, these so-called "AKPAKARA" Nomads, often posing as scavengers of waste materials, are allegedly orchestrating kidnappings and attacks on unsuspecting residents. They disguise their activities by dressing in unassuming ways, often blending into rural and urban communities to avoid suspicion. This covert operation has tragically impacted lives, with several cases of missing persons, theft, and even murder attributed to them. Two such incidents in Mbaise and Emekuku reportedly led to the deaths of a widow and a young man who had tried to prevent these criminals from stealing iron materials.

The OYC warns that these "AKPAKARA" Nomadic agents have deeply infiltrated Igbo communities, including villages, streets, and markets, all while ostensibly collecting waste iron and plastics. Intelligence reveals that they often conceal weapons beneath the waste materials they carry, increasing the danger they pose to the communities they traverse. Additionally, they occupy temporary structures, unfinished buildings, and remote sites, which serve as hideouts for their illicit activities.

In response, the OYC has issued a seven-day ultimatum, demanding that genuine waste collectors operating under this guise register with local authorities, rent proper shops, and cease their nomadic activities. Those failing to comply will face stringent consequences. This order aims to curb the activities of criminals hiding under the pretense of waste collection while also ensuring legitimate business operators are accountable and traceable within Igbo society.

Traditional rulers, Town Union Presidents, and Community Youth Leaders are urged to take an active role in enforcing this ban by monitoring the presence of "AKPAKARA" Nomads in their communities. By doing so, they can protect residents from the threat these criminals pose.

The OYC has emphasized that any individuals found loitering in communities, villages, or farmlands under the guise of waste collection will be perceived as criminals and dealt with accordingly. This directive is a call for vigilance, encouraging community members to reject and resist the presence of "AKPAKARA" Nomadic agents to ensure the safety and security of Igboland.

Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka,

National President, Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC)
