Breaking! Gunmen Kill Banker, Two Others Today

The tragic killing of Mr. Victor Udensi, a banker with Zenith Bank, and two other individuals in Umuahia, Abia State, has been confirmed by the Commissioner of Police, CP Danladi Isa. The incident, which occurred on Monday evening, has left the community in shock and raised concerns about safety in the area.

According to CP Isa, Udensi, a staff member from the Umuahia branch, was targeted by three armed men who intercepted him along the Isi Court Axis of Olokoro in Umuahia South around 8 pm. The assailants, who arrived in a tricycle (Keke), tried to force him into the trunk of his car. However, Udensi resisted, attempting to flee. The gunmen, in response, shot him in the back, leaving him severely wounded.

Unable to start Udensi's vehicle, the attackers turned to another nearby driver in a Camry and attempted to seize his car. When the driver resisted, he was shot and killed instantly. As the gunmen made their escape toward Ubakala, they encountered a tricycle they perceived as obstructing their path and fatally shot the rider.

Eyewitnesses rushed Udensi to a hospital, but he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The CP assured the public that the police have launched an intensive manhunt for the perpetrators and are committed to ensuring they face justice for their heinous acts.
