The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has disbursed ₦12,394,601 to 242 students of Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, Bauchi State, for the 2025/2026 academic session, providing further financial support to students pursuing their education.
The disbursement, announced on August 5, 2026, covers statutory charges for the verified beneficiaries of the institution and is expected to help eligible students continue their studies without financial interruption.
In an acknowledgement and commendation letter dated August 5, the Polytechnic’s Registrar, Lawal Sambo, ASCON, MISMC, expressed profound gratitude and commendation to NELFUND for what the institution described as its outstanding commitment to promoting access to quality education in Nigeria.
According to the Polytechnic, the latest payment represents the fourth batch of NELFUND disbursements to the institution. The ₦12,394,601 received for 242 beneficiaries brings the total amount disbursed to the Polytechnic for the 2025/2026 academic session to ₦89,602,556.
The institution stated that the latest tranche, when combined with the earlier first, second and third batches amounting to ₦77,207,955, demonstrates the growing reach of the student loan programme among its students.
The management of Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic also acknowledged the Federal Government and NELFUND for the educational support programme, describing the intervention as valuable to students and reaffirming the institution’s readiness to continue its collaboration with the Fund in advancing access to quality education.
The latest intervention further reflects the role of NELFUND’s student financing programme in easing the burden of educational expenses for eligible Nigerian students and giving beneficiaries renewed hope to remain focused on their academic pursuits.
