A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) meeting in Akpugo Ward 3, Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State, was reportedly disrupted by gunmen on Saturday.
Speaking to party supporters at the scene, PDP governorship candidate, Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji, declared that “Enough is Enough” and called on the Nigeria Police Force and the DSS to urgently investigate the incident and bring those responsible to justice.
Nnaji urged supporters to remain calm and law-abiding, assuring them that security measures would be strengthened to protect lives and property. The Enugu State Commissioner of Police, the Nkanu West DPO and other security officials visited the scene for an on-the-spot assessment, with the police promising a swift investigation.
