The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Students’ Engagement, Hon. Comr. Sunday Asefon, has felicitated with the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti and the people of Ado-Ekiti on the occasion of the 2026 Idiroko Festival, describing the celebration as a powerful expression of the community’s rich heritage, unity and enduring cultural values.
In a goodwill message, Asefon congratulated the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti and extended warm greetings to sons and daughters of the ancient city as they gathered to celebrate the festival.
He said the annual celebration provides an important opportunity for the people of Ado-Ekiti to reconnect with their history, traditions and shared identity, while praying for peace, prosperity, progress and greater development for the city.
Asefon also called for continued unity among Ado indigenes, stressing that their togetherness and enduring bond remain important to the preservation of their cultural heritage and the advancement of the community.
He wished the people a joyful celebration and expressed optimism that the festival would further strengthen the bonds of love, unity and communal pride among Ado sons and daughters at home and in the diaspora.
