The G36 Women Movement for Tinubu 2027 has appointed the Deputy National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Zainab A. Ibrahim, as its National Matron.
The appointment was announced during a high-powered courtesy visit by the national leadership of the movement to Hon. Ibrahim, in a move that further underscores the group’s determination to strengthen its leadership structure and deepen women’s mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Leading the delegation was the Founder and National Coordinator of the G36 Women Movement for Tinubu 2027, Hon. Stella Nnamani, who formally presented the vision and objectives of the organisation before conferring the prestigious position on Hon. Ibrahim.
Nnamani said the appointment was unanimously endorsed by the leadership of the movement in recognition of Ibrahim’s leadership experience, commitment to women’s advancement and dedication to the growth of the APC.
She described the new Matron as a dependable mentor and mother figure whose experience and influence would provide strategic direction as the movement expands its reach across the country.
The delegation comprised the National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Hauwa Kakaumaru; National Organizing Secretary, Hon. Hashaam Habeeb; Deputy Coordinator for Borno State, Hon. Haj. Aishatu Mala; as well as other national and state leaders of the movement.
Speaking on the occasion, Nnamani described the G36 Women Movement for Tinubu 2027 as a nationwide platform bringing together women leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, politicians, lawyers, medical practitioners and grassroots mobilisers across the 36 states of the federation.
She said the movement was established to galvanise women’s support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election while promoting the Renewed Hope Agenda and encouraging greater participation of women in governance and nation-building.
“We are honoured to have you as the Matron of the G36 Women Movement for Tinubu 2027. Your leadership, dedication and commitment to the advancement of women in politics continue to inspire millions of Nigerian women.
“We are confident that with your guidance, this movement will grow stronger as we mobilise women across the country in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Renewed Hope Agenda,” Nnamani said.
Responding, Hon. Zainab A. Ibrahim expressed gratitude to the leadership of the movement for the confidence reposed in her and formally accepted the appointment.
She commended the initiative, describing the G36 Women Movement as a strategic platform capable of strengthening women’s participation in politics and driving effective grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.
The APC Deputy National Women Leader pledged to support the movement in achieving its objectives, while urging members to remain united, organised and focused on reaching women at the grassroots.
“I am deeply honoured by this appointment and I gladly accept the responsibility as Matron of the G36 Women Movement for Tinubu 2027.
“I encourage every member to remain united, committed and focused on reaching women at the grassroots. Together, we will continue to promote the Renewed Hope Agenda, ensure greater participation of women in nation-building and support the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027,” she said.
The courtesy visit concluded with both sides reaffirming their commitment to closer collaboration, expanded grassroots mobilisation and the strengthening of the G36 Women Movement across the federation.
The appointment of Hon. Zainab A. Ibrahim is expected to provide additional leadership depth to the movement as it intensifies its nationwide engagement and mobilisation of women ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
