Former Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship Candidate in Enugu State, Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji, has once again demonstrated his commitment to purposeful governance and national development by commending the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Administration for its unwavering investment in critical infrastructure that continues to improve the lives of Nigerians.
Chief Nnaji made the remarks on Friday after attending the official commissioning of the reconstructed Arab/Gbazango Road in Kubwa, Bwari Area Council, a landmark project commissioned on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu by the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Attending the event as a special guest of the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barrister Nyesom Wike, CON, Chief Nnaji joined an array of senior government officials, traditional rulers, political leaders and community stakeholders to witness what many described as another milestone in the transformation of the nation's capital.
Speaking after the ceremony, the Enugu PDP governorship standard-bearer praised the FCT Administration for placing infrastructure at the centre of governance, stressing that modern road networks and public facilities remain essential drivers of economic prosperity, investment, social inclusion and national progress.
According to him, governments that invest in durable infrastructure are laying enduring foundations for future generations, while creating opportunities for businesses, improving connectivity and enhancing the quality of life for citizens.
Political observers noted that Chief Nnaji's commendation reflects his long-standing belief that visionary leadership should always transcend partisan interests whenever policies and projects genuinely serve the public good.
They described him as a leader who consistently acknowledges excellence, promotes constructive governance and encourages developmental initiatives capable of accelerating national growth.
The reconstructed Arab/Gbazango Road forms part of the FCT Administration's broader urban renewal programme designed to ease transportation, connect communities, stimulate commercial activities and expand access to essential services across the Federal Capital Territory.
The commissioning ceremony attracted a large gathering of government functionaries, community leaders, residents and development partners, underscoring the strategic importance of the project.
For many attendees, Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji's presence at the event further highlighted his reputation as a statesman who values practical governance, developmental partnerships and people-centred leadership.
While Enugu State continues to look toward a new chapter of leadership, many supporters believe Chief Nnaji's emphasis on infrastructure, innovation and inclusive development reflects the qualities required to drive sustainable economic transformation and improve the welfare of citizens.
