Enugu State recorded another remarkable political milestone as its delegation took centre stage during the National Retreat and Inauguration of the City Boy Movement (CBM) Leadership held at the prestigious Presidential Banquet Hall, Aso Villa, and the International Conference Centre (ICC), Abuja.
The event, which attracted the national leadership of the City Boy Movement alongside coordinators and stakeholders from across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, marked the official inauguration of national and state executives while reaffirming the movement's commitment to strengthening grassroots mobilisation and advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was represented at the event by his Chief of Staff, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, while the Founder of the City Boy Movement, Seyi Tinubu, the Director-General of the movement, Hon. Francis Oluwatosin Slogan (Shoga Francis), the National Women Leader, Ummulsama Rabiu, Deputy National Woman Leader, Hon. Sophie Uzodimma and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) were among the distinguished personalities who graced the historic gathering.
A major highlight of the retreat was the successful harmonisation of the leadership of the City Boy Movement across the country, bringing all stakeholders under one united structure. The development effectively resolved previous internal differences, with members collectively reaffirming their commitment to working together towards the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
Worth celebrating is the emergence of the Enugu State Director of the City Boy Movement, Chief Prince Emeka Mamah, whose leadership and commitment to building a formidable grassroots political structure have continued to earn admiration within and beyond the state. His inauguration further reflects the growing recognition of Enugu's strategic role in the movement's national expansion.
Also receiving widespread commendation was the State Coordinator, Women Affairs, Amb. Mrs. Amaka Nweke, whose dedication to women's mobilisation, inclusive leadership, and grassroots political engagement has continued to strengthen the City Boy Movement in Enugu State. Her unwavering commitment to empowering women and expanding the movement's reach across communities has positioned Enugu as one of the most vibrant chapters of the organisation.
Adding to the state's impressive representation was Engr. Onyinye Okpalamma Akubilo, who was inaugurated as the State Deputy Coordinator, Women Affairs, bringing her wealth of experience, professionalism, and passion for grassroots development to the leadership team. Her appointment is widely seen as another boost to the movement's women-focused mobilisation efforts in Enugu State.
The inauguration also featured the participation of other capacity leaders of the City Boy Movement in Enugu State, who joined delegates from across Nigeria in charting a renewed course for the organisation's growth, unity, and nationwide mobilisation ahead of future political engagements.
