How to Benefit from Livelihood Grant

The Enugu State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA) has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to grassroots transformation through strategic community-focused initiatives, as it sheds more light on how residents can benefit from the Livelihood Grant under its ongoing programmes.

Speaking during a press interaction, the Agency emphasized that under the DLI 1.4a (2 Micro Community Intervention Projects), its primary objective is to deliver sustainable development projects that directly impact the daily lives of the people. These include the provision of potable water and the construction of ultra-modern toilet facilities aimed at eradicating open defecation (ODF) across communities in Enugu State.

While acknowledging that achieving statewide coverage within a short period may be ambitious, the Agency expressed strong optimism and commitment to ensuring that every community eventually benefits from these life-enhancing interventions.

The CSDA further clarified that the process of accessing the Livelihood Grant is transparent, inclusive, and strictly non-political. According to the Agency, the initiative is designed to empower individuals and communities based on need and impact, rather than political affiliation, in line with the directive of the Governor.

Residents were therefore encouraged to prepare and position themselves to take full advantage of the opportunities presented by the programme, as it is structured to uplift livelihoods, promote self-reliance, and stimulate local economic growth.

Reiterating the vision behind the initiative, the Agency noted that the administration of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah remains deliberate and focused on rural and community development, ensuring that no part of the state is left behind in the march toward progress.

The CSDA called on community members to stay informed, engaged, and proactive, as the Livelihood Grant programme continues to roll out across the state, bringing hope, development, and renewed opportunities to the grassroots.
