BREAKING: Again, Gunmen Storm Plateau Community, Slaughter Many, Family Of Eight Wiped Out!!



Suspected armed assailants have killed eight residents in a late-night attack on Mbwelle Village in Kwatas District of Bokkos Local Government Area of .

The incident, which occurred around 10:30 p.m. on April 9, is believed to be part of ongoing reprisal violence in the area.

Security sources identified the victims as Habila Istifanus (38), Hassan Istifanus (31), Iliya Mangut (70), Sunday Gideon (31), Innocent Banabas (20), Lucky Titus (38), Wisdom Lucky (15), and Bwehsun Hassan (25).

According to reports, suspected Fulani bandits carried out the attack before fleeing the scene prior to the arrival of security operatives.

Joint security forces reportedly responded to a distress call but were unable to engage the attackers. A source cited the delay in response to the considerable distance—about 15 kilometres—between the military base and the affected community, as well as difficult terrain.

All casualties, including those injured, were evacuated to Bokkos Cottage Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, security forces have launched a manhunt to track down and apprehend the perpetrators.

The latest incident highlights the persistent security challenges in parts of , where communities continue to experience cycles of violent attacks.
